The name of our firm was not chosen by chance. Our firm is named after the legendary protagonist of Sophocles' tragedy 'Antigone'. In this myth, Antigone refuses to obey the ruler Creon, who forbids her from burying her brother.
Antigone nevertheless provides her brother with a symbolic burial, invoking divine legal principles that bear a strong resemblance to what we now call fundamental rights.
Every case begins with a personal consultation with one of our lawyers. You tell us your problem, and we assess the available options. With our team of 14 lawyers, we can schedule an appointment for you as quickly as needed and take timely action to help you.

Thanks to our many years of experience, we have built up extensive expertise and can quickly determine the correct procedure to follow and the chances of success. Often, we can review all options during the initial consultation, so you immediately know where you stand. In more complex cases, we first conduct the necessary research before providing you with appropriate advice.
We make significant efforts to build this expertise. From being a practical assistant at the university, to chairing the immigration law committee at the Order of Flemish Bar Associations, to providing training or publishing a handbook on immigration law... No effort is too great for us to truly master the subject of immigration law and to know how to put that knowledge at the service of our clients.
Immigration law is constantly changing. Because it's crucial that you always receive accurate information, we closely monitor these changes. We ensure in various ways that we are always aware of upcoming changes, so we can inform you promptly. However, simply acquiring knowledge is not enough; it must also be disseminated. To ensure that knowledge is shared among all lawyers in the office, we hold monthly team meetings where we discuss all developments in legislation and jurisprudence. Several times a year, we organize internal study days where we delve into one or more topics, ensuring everyone is fully up-to-date.
You can call our office daily from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. On Fridays, calls are taken only between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. All our files are stored digitally, ensuring that the staff member answering your call has full access to your file and can respond to your questions.
From Monday to Thursday, you can also visit our reception between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Do you have a question about the status of your case? Have you received a letter and don't immediately understand its contents? Would you like some clarification on an email you've received? You can drop by without an appointment, and one of our lawyers will assist you immediately.
For an initial brief consultation, we charge €70, including VAT. During this consultation, we will review the options and provide you with an estimate of the costs associated with any potential procedures we might undertake for you. Naturally, we will check if you are eligible for free legal aid. If so, we will inform you whether we are willing to request a pro bono appointment for you. If we cannot do so, we will refer you to the Legal Aid Bureau.
