Katrin Verhaegen studied law at the University of Antwerp and subsequently obtained a Master Complémentaire en Droit Européen from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She first worked for three years for the Belgian Committee for Aid to Refugees before transitioning to legal practice.

She has been part of our team since January 2014 and co-founded Antigone Advocaten in 2017.

She is also affiliated with the University of Antwerp, where, as a practical assistant, she supervises the asylum and migration legal clinic.
