Ms. Céleste Maes obtained her law degree from KU Leuven in 2023, specializing in public law and international and European law. During her master's studies, she developed a strong interest in human rights and asylum and migration law. In addition to her academic background, she gained valuable experience in the social sector through various volunteer activities.

In the summer of 2023, she completed an internship at Antigone Advocaten, where she further deepened her knowledge of asylum and migration law. In 2024, she completed the module Sustainable Development and Global Justice at the University of Antwerp. This program provided her with an interdisciplinary perspective on law, giving her deeper insight into global legal issues.

She has been part of the Antigone Advocaten team since September 2024.
